STU MAUNEY NON RESIDENT ELK GMU 40 HELP

Hello,
My name is Stu Mauney, I live in Georgia, after having lived in Wyoming for 13 years. It took 10 non resident pref points for elk and 3 for deer but I finally drew GMU 40. Can anyone give me advice or name referral on where to get a good elk in GMU 40 ? I am an operating room nurse, not a wealthy non resident. As such I can not offor to pay $6,000 and up to hunt private land in GMU 40. Please help. Any advice suggestions, or other on how to access good private land for a reasonable fee would greatly be appreciated.
