Thinking of moving to Glade Park...

I found this Glade Park forum and was wondering if anyone could tell me a little about the life on Glade Park? We are thinking of buying a house up there and currently live in Littleton Co. My main concern is the drive, How is that treating you? We are also really concerned about when our two little ones become teenagers and they start driving. Can anyone who has or had teenagers or is a teenager shed some light on this subject.

I would give anything to live in Glade Park. It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. I was just talking about it with my daughter. Personally, I like living "in the country" and being isolated. It's just a gorgeous place. I wish I could come back and visit sometime. I lived near there when I did travel nursing. I'll never forget Glade Park....

I lived in gp for 6 years. It's definitely a long commute and winters can be tough. I was in culture shock after being a city girl my whole life. I moved there for my husband who was already living there. I spent a lot of time in my car and had to plan ahead if I were going to town. I also turned down many social activities in town because my days were long. I honestly didn't like living up there. It's isolating, however very peaceful and beautiful. Two years ago, we bought a little place downtown, but kept the house in glade park. I am much happier with having the best of both worlds. Many people are happy up there and enjoy the beauty and tranquility up there. Just not my cup of tea to live there full time.
