Anna Louise Rhyne March 24, 1920 - May 21, 2012
Anna L. Rhyne a life long resident of Mesa County and widow of Glade Park pioneer, Curtis Rhyne, passed away at the age of 92.

Anna was born to Emphris(Emp)and Frieda Dennis on May 24, 1920 in Fruita, Colorado.

She graduated from Grand Junction High in 1938, attended Ross Business College, graduating in 1939. She married Curtis Rhyne on June 29, 1939 in Grand Junction. They had three children, Dennis, Doug and Judy.

The couple made their home on Glade Park for the first few years of their marriage and then in Grand Junction but she enjoyed their summer cabin on Pinion Mesa where the family would get together for various birthdays and holidays or to just escape the heat of the valley for the weekend.

Anna started working at the Atomic Energy Commission(AEC) in 1954 and retired in 1980, after 27 years of work.

Anna enjoyed family and friends, trips to the mountain to see the fall colors, Easter picnics and frying chicken on grandpas BIG cast iron skillet over a campfire, jeep trips in the Rocky Mountains, fishing trips and watching her grandchildren play and hike around up on the mountain, she always enjoyed a family outing.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy(Gary)Wuster; daughters-in-law, Joan Rhyne and Linda Erhardt Rhyne; grandchildren, Karla(Gene)Coleman and their children, Tyler, Jennifer and Curtis; Julie Kochevar and her children Matt and Ryan; Joe Rhyne; Mark Rhyne; Nick Lambuth; Ron(Lisa)Rhyne and their son Landon; sister, Patricia(Warren) Broderson
Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Curtis; sons, Dennis and Doug; sisters, Mary Anderson and Ruth Babcock.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date at the Glade Park Cemetery.
