Brentlinger

by Marla Grassi
(Tacoma, WA)

Hello, just wanting to share that my father, Donald Ray Brentlinger, born on a small homestead in Glade Park Dec. 14,1934, has passed away in Tacoma, Washington on Aug. 8, 2022. I am his daughter, Marla Grassi, and recall many stories told by my dad about his early years. I am wondering (hoping) if there is anyone who might have known the family or have photos from that time, or similar stories to share? The family was led by Lee and Cathryn Robbins (from Kentucky), whose daughter Stella Robbins (sisters Ella Mae, Pansy and several more siblings) was Dad's mother. My email is mdgrassi@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Possible answer to previous question.
by: Ron Rhyne

My grandpa Curtis Rhyne talked about the Robbins homestead just east of the Glade Park Store. It was just as you topped the first hill heading east on the north side of the road just over a half mile from the store. Carl "cowboy" Robbins was raised there. I don’t know if this helps or is the same family.
